Winter White and a Touch of Orange (Booties)

Wearing white in winter always makes me happy and so does anything over-sized, especially when it comes to sweaters. This white sheer back sweater is one of my favorites because despite its over-sized look it is also very feminine and so easy to throw on top of any basic (I prefer a white tube top).

I got these suede orange ankle booties in Italy and they are so comfortable and casual for fall and winter. I'm obsessed with the color because it's not too bright but is still bold enough to really stand out when paired with most neutral colors.

P.S. My black knee length puffer jacket was worn over this immediately after! I just love how winter white looks against the snow.

Vintage Shearling Coat

I've been using this amazing vintage shearling coat to keep warm in the freezing cold in between snow storms (I wouldn't recommend wearing one of these in the rain or snow). I bought this last month at a vintage store in Florence called Melrose Vintage  (Via Nazionale location). It is a pretty big store, which makes it a little intimidating at first, but it's worth a look for anyone interested in some serious vintage shopping while in Florence. Melrose doesn't offer luxury designer vintage like some other store's in the city (Desii Vintage) but it has a lot of unique pieces waiting to be found by shoppers with enough patience.

Anyway, it's probably the best coat I've ever owned in terms of style and functionality and as time goes by I only discover even more ways to wear it! It almost makes me not hate 7 degree weather...

Winter Vest and Blue Ray Bans

I've actually had this winter vest sitting in my closet for almost 5 years. I knew I needed to have it while I was working at Lucky Brand even though everyone advised me against it. Well finally after all this time and being skeptical about my ability to pull off a winter vest, I paired it with some winter basics like the turtle neck, leggings and hat.

I'm obsessed with my new blue Ray Ban aviators and I wish I could just wear them all day!

This was my first time wearing this necklace (which I've also had for years), but I plan on wearing it a lot more now. It's such a great way to add a little color, which is important for someone like me who loves black way too much.

Thanks to my talented friend Corinne for the beautiful make up! I love the dark lip, even for a casual look like this!
